Rice Grains

Rice is one of the most consumed staples in Nigeria, with consumption per capita of 32kg; and consumed by about two-third of the world’s population. This simple grain has been a popular life-sustaining food for thousands of years because it is nutritious, versatile, economical, easy to prepare and tastes good.

A complex carbohydrate that fuels the body with energy, rice is low in calories, has no sodium or trans-fat, is a good source of vitamins and minerals and is gluten-free.
Nigeria is the continent’s leading consumer of rice, and also one of the largest producers of rice in Africa. Rice Paddy production in Nigeria increases to 8.4 million tons in 2019 by FAO STAT.

Millet

Millet is an essential crop grown in Africa (Mali, Nigeria, Niger etc.) and Asia’s semiarid tropics (especially in India and China) with 97% of millet production in developing countries. In 2020, global production of millet was 30.5 million tonnes, led by India with 41% of the world total. Niger also had significant production..

In 2021, the production of millet in the Nigerian news was estimated at two million metric tonnes. Between 2005 and 2021, the millet production in the country decreased significantly. The largest drop in production was registered in 2011, when the crop volume experienced a decrease of 75% compared to 2010, going from 5.2 million Mt to 1.3 million Mt with a significant difference of 3.9 million Mt.

Sorghum

Sorghum is one of the top five cereal crops in the world , its origin is traced to Northeastern Africa, It is truly a versatile crop that can be grown as a grain or forage. It has multiple usage which spans across the production of Malt, Beer, Beer powder, Sorghum meal and Livestock feed among others. .

It is referred to as a high-energy, drought-tolerant crop that is environmentally friendly.

Nigeria is ranked the 2nd largest sorghum producing country in the world as at 2017 with an annual production quantity of 6.94 million metric tons. Our sorghum comes in different colour varieties (white, red and orange), and our processing facility currently has a capacity of processing a minimum of 150mt daily.
